No problem, I appreciate the effort.

Really, I guess any spring stiffer than an "S" spring is what I am after, that I can powder coat red..... I want less "lean" in the turns.. I don't want to lower the car (too much)....

In SF Craigslist, there's a complete JCW strut and spring setup, including mounts, for $400.

Try to buy the jcw springs off a car that is speced similar to yours...biggest diff is sunroof/no sunroof.
The spring rate on oem springs are closely matched to tge completed production weight of the car...even when you go to the dealer and order them after the fact...minior differences can affect ride quality....minior changes like getting the right spring rates is an area where the manfacture spent hundreds of hours on the track tweaking......

hey

Srcypher, if you just want the springs. you can get any year model jcw. The springs are the same. maybe a little stiffer on sun roof models. I found this out when getting coil overs. the only thing different in the r53-r56 is the bolt pattern in the top of r56 is different in the front., in the rear the bottom bolt on r56 has a extra flange part where r53 doesn't. but the top of the rears are same on both. The actual springs and shocks are the same(in coil overs) So that kit i showed ya in virginia just get the springs out of it and bam your in biz!
