Spotted silver MCS on Route 1 North this morning!!!

On my way to work this morning I ran into a fellow MCS owner on Route 1 North right before the entrance to the Garden State Parkway North. Naturally we geeked out a bit before we went our separate ways haha but it's extremely rare for me to run into other Mini/MINI enthusiasts out here in the Jersey/Pennsylvania area so it got me thinking if I could get in touch with him somehow or even better, get in touch with a bunch of enthusiasts in the area. So dude with the silver? MCS with the rally lights up front that I had seen early this morning if you're here, we should link up and go for a cruise somewhere! Also anybody else in the Jersey area that's into this sort of thing I say the same haha let's link up!!! I go to all sorts of car meets all the time through the warmer months. It would be super legit if I could find some mini clan folks to bring with!

I live in Bensalem! But work in Union NJ. The meets I go to are in Jersey so if you don't mind driving the hour to get to them with me they're always a riot. If you know of anything going on in Philly area keep me in the loop!!

I drive on Rt 1 N past the Parkway N entrance to work every day!

But I drive a gray MCS with blue boot and bonnet stripes. I typically feel like I see one to two MINIs each day on my commute. I try to wave and get their attentions, but no success so far. Yesterday, there was even a blue "justa" MINI that drove next to me for a few of seconds. I looked over and the driver (female) didn't even look back when I waved. I wonder if she thought I was trying to pick her up =P

Let's revive this sub-forum for NJ (and Philly) drivers!

I've seen a bunch of Minis but hardly people interested in the community and I've never seen you. What time do you roll into work hahaha I'm always cruising through there before 6am. I'm definitely all about bringing this thread back and hopefully even putting together some events/cruises and such.

I'm on that stretch of road much later than you, around 8 AM +/- 15 minutes. Bensalem to Union doesn't sound like a fun commute, so I can see why you get on the roads early!

I saw another two MINIs this morning, but on the other side of Rt 1 with no "wave" response. One was a larger blue MINI (Countryman or Clubman) with double bonnet stripes. The other was a white S or JCW which had some nice styling. They both were going the opposite direction so I couldn't get a good view of either. But I do tend to see a fair bit of them.

What types of meetups/events have you've been to? I've only recently got a MINI and started being active on this board.

Personally, I never been in any activity locally. But I did go once to NYMINIons for a BBQ lol...it was a little quite and, me being the stranger, tried to talk to everyone. at the end just gave them my "hobby card" and left.

waving is tough..lol most of the ones i see are either elders or younger girls. I look to wave, but of course their locked on the road ahead.

I dont mind a saturday or sunday morning coffee/bagel and just chat and network. I can do a 30 mile radius, i guess.

Honestly, I'm somewhat of a hermit at times, but if we can get a group going, I'd consider getting together to check out and discuss MINIs. It's always fun to talk cars.

We should get a cruise going for sure! Less talking, more enjoying our cars haha go somewhere for some pictures or something. Maybe some slightly spirited driving. I'll PM anyone who might be interested in this and try to set something up.

I don't have Facebook. So if anyone good is happening, I hope it's not too much to ask if you cross post here? =)
