Flow MINI?

Hey everyone,

I'm a VA resident looking to purchase a MCS soon and have thought about getting it at Flow MINI in Winston-Salem. Is it a good place? Are the MAs and SAs good people? I'd like to hear your thoughts and feelings.

Thanks!

Hi.....I still go to Flow for service work. My car originally came from there in '03. I've got nothing but good things to say about the sales and service I've encountered there over the past 3 years.

I am very impressed with Flow, and Ed Simmons in particular. PM sent.

Bought an 05 a year ago from them, and I have no complaints. They've been straight with me.

I can't say many positive things about the service dept at Flow. I've had several visits there and it always seems I come away underwhelmed. The work they do is ok, they just don't put in the extra effort. For example, I have the sunroof that clunks in the open position when you hit a bump in the road. They did nothing about it... "Problem not found" kind of answer. The best I can say is they hold the company line when it comes to warranty issues.

If you are coming to NC to purchase, check out Hendrick MINI in Charlotte. They support our club very well and it would be nice to return the favor.

I just took delivery of an 06 MC from Flow this month. I did the whole thing over the internet, including my trade. Ed Simmons was easy to work with, and the finance person made sure the paperwork went smoothly. I'd recommend them, though I haven't had the car in for servicing yet, and can't speak to that side of the show.

Bottom line is that Flow is a good deal closer than Charlotte or Richmond. And the drive back to Blacksburg from W-S on the twisty back roads with the new car is top notch.

I bought my '03 from Flow back in February of that year and have nothing but praise for them, especially their service department. As an added bonus, they are mod-friendly when it comes to service. There is talk of a dealer coming to Raleigh but, to be honest, I'll continue to use Flow. As a small business owner myself, I believe it's important to reward excellent customer care which is so hard to find these days.

I purchased mine from Flow as well, and had it serviced there a couple of times. I wasn't real impressed with their service, but their sales staff is wonderful. For example, it took them 2-3 tries to get the bonnet stripes right and multiple visits. Ever since Hendrick opened I have taken my MINI there. Plus it is more accessible for me since I work in Matthews (~5 miles away).

I'm in SW Virginia (Blacksburg-Christiansburg) too, and I bought and travel back and forth for service at Flow. I've been satisfied with them except that my salesperson neglected to inform me that my car would have to be driven 15 miles each way to have the invisishield installed... so my test drive car had 6 miles on it when I drove and my "built-to-order" car had 39 miles on it when I picked it up. I still get upset when I think about that.

Otherwise, I have been very satisfied with them, their service and especially their parts people have been easy to deal with.

If anyone ever wants to do a local Blue Ridge Parkway winery tour or something, let me know. Or a dinner run to the Homeplace???

I bought mine in MD, Tate Mini to be exact even though I live in NC. Great on sales not sure on service. I'm not sure if they're any closer for you or not.

I had a great buying experience with Flow, but I had traded my first MCS in on a Tacoma back last July and forgot all about my GAP insurance I had taken out. I didnt call Flow until January to tell them I wanted to cancel it but to only be told by Flow that I had to go back to where I traded my MCS in at and they would have to cancel it, well I knew something was wrong here and I ended up waiting another month before I called the Toyota dealership and was laughed at by them because Flow was suppose to do it all along. Needless to say I called back a couple weeks ago and it is now cancelled but I will be getting alot less back now due to all the run arounds I got.

Bought 03 and 05 MINIs from flow and have highest regards to service and salesstaff. I now deal with Hendrick in charlotte where i live and the same can be said for their service and salesstaff. If Hendrick had not opened would still deal with flow. Remember you can not please everybody, especailly nit pickers, but both Flow and Hendrick have pleased me.
