Looking to buy MINI
Looking to buy MINI
I live in the Carolinas "Charlotte area to be exact" and I am in the market for a 2002-2003 Mini Cooper S, I have been looking for a silver or grey with the panaramic sunroof that is reasonbly priced. If anybody knows where I can locate one close to my area please let me know.
Good luck with your search. With the resale value holding as well as it is, I don't know if you'll be able to come up with a "reasonably priced" MINI. Unlike other cars, used MINI's have been selling near MSRP. Great for present owners, but not so for those wanting to buy.
Hendrick BMW on Independence Boulevard had three MINI's about five weeks ago. Two dark gray and one white over red. All three were supercharged. I believe all three were 2002's and they were "lease cars".
Uh... I got one of the dark gray's. Sweet!
Oh, and hi guys. New to the MINI board, but have been lurking for quite a while.

Kendel,
If I may suggest, don't get one that is an automatic! I had a loaner from Flow since my car was making a noise, come to find out, it was the recalled crankshaft hose, and they gave me a MINI Cooper loaner. I normally drive the S and the regular Cooper is not a bad drive, I just didn't care for the automatic for the car. You just don't get the pick up you do with a straight drive!
Other than that, it was a nice car to drive!

I traded my DS/B MCS to Century about 3 weeks ago. She just turned 25k miles and is EXTRA clean. She has a few mods (see sig). Henk and the other folks say very busy, so give him another call. Tell him Mike told you to check out his former ride

Is it just me or does all the BMW-Mini dealers think you owe them something? I am trying to deal with a salesman at Flow Mini but from some reason he keeps telling me he is checking on the car for me and he is crunching numbers but never returns my call! I have called him 3 times today and he keeps telling me that he was getting ready to call me then he says let me check on one more thing and I will call you back but never does.

That's where I got my MINI. Ryan Cole was my sales dude, and I didn't have a problem with him. Very nice guy. He even stayed later when I went to go and look at the car before I bought it since I was coming up from Raleigh. As of right now, I've never had a problem with Flow at all. Although they don't have many MINIs on the lot, most of them they get are ordered and are sold by the time they get here.
Hope this helps!

Ryan Cole was my salesperson as well at Flow. When I was there on Oct 6 I did not see him that day, and did not see his name on any of the windows/doors. Hope he hasn't left.
Overall I have been really pleased with the service I get at Flow.

I do know that when I got my MCS from him in January, he didn't have an office, so maybe that is still the case! That would suck if he was gone! He was a super nice guy!!! I was planning on buying my second MINI from him as well, when the time is right to get a new one!
