I'm soliciting feedback from our members regarding our monthly meet and eats. Another member suggested we have a once monthly (instead of twice) meet and eat, and rotate the location all around town. In addition, he suggested we should have our breakfast meeting along with Hangin' at Hendricks as well. Remember, nothing says that we can't set up an impromptu dinner get together any time. I guess the bottom line is, do we want to continue status quo, or do a once monthly dinner meeting and a once monthly breakfast? Keep in mind with the warm weather rapidly approaching (I hope), that we hope to organize alot of events for everyone to participate in. Please give me your honest opinion, and we'll proceed with whatever the majority wants to see. Thanks alot!

 

It worked great before and why not give it a shot. 3rd tuesday always worked great and moving from E W N S just makes sense we are scattered all over and gives people a chance that live to far away to go to one near them. The eat every monday at the same place got kind of old for me. Thats my opinion and I am unamous in it. Yep, I am Republican

 

I agree that we should have 1 Dinner a move and move it around. Continue the Saturdays at Hendrick's and have more runs. I think more runs are more beneficial to the Club. We can raise more for our charity and enjoy our Mini's at the same time. Most people do not have the time to make it to 2 Dinners, a Breakfast and a event per month if they are also trying to fit in Family time.

sorry to have been so out of touch lately but my teaching plan has me in night classes twice a week this spring. anyway, I agree with Luke.

 

I would like to see more meet N eats closer to my side of town. I know I live a little far and really don't mind driving but sometimes closer would be nice.

I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so we are able to "move about the country" in our cars!!

 

I enjoy the meet n eats when I can attend. Attend being the key word. I like the idea of having them in N E S W locations so that it offers our clubmembers the opportunity to eat closer to home every once in awhile. I am game to try anything that benefits the majority. Democratic point of view. Tee-Hee!!!

 

I like the idea of having 1 monthly meet n eat in different parts of the area (date can be flexible as weekends may accomodate more people than week days), 1 monthly breakfast meeting and depending on the schedule, 1 or 2 events / runs per month. Or we can try and combine a meet n eat with a run (Spenser Transportation Museum as an example).

Well.......it looks like most folks want to do a once monthly meet and eat. So, I say we do our usual third Tuesday gathering, as well as Saturday hangin' at Hendricks. We can always do an impromptu dinner get together at any time, and I think this would likely generate greater interest. So, unless there is vehement opposition, we'll start the once monthly gathering in May. Feedback????

 

The once a month meeting idea is OK, but my thought is to maybe meet on the first Tues. for dinner, then third Sat. breakfast/'Hanging at Hendricks' to spread the time out a little. This instead of tues. then Sat. of the same week.

 

Sounds like an OK idea to me. For that matter, how did we decide on Tuesday? Would people be more apt to participate if it were maybe a Friday or Saturday? Feedback?? Anybody else??

 

I would be able to make it if it was a different day. Maybe the days can vary by month to give others who cannot make Tuesday nights a chance to participate. And if it was a Friday or Saturday, maybe we can meet up with the Columbia group.

Have we ever tried to do a Meet N Eat with the Tar Heel Mini's??

Doing the Meet n' Eats on a weekend would give the Columbia members and anyone else a chance to participate but we will have to coordinate around scheduled runs/Driving Events.

 

So, what I'm hearing is that maybe it would be good to vary the day of the week that we have our get togethers. We also should be aware, of course, if we have a Saturday drive, and don't do a meet and eat the same evening. Does this sound reasonable? We can discuss it further at our meet and eat next week.
