It's that time of year again, or getting close to it... Time to head back up to Hot Springs on the annual spring rally. Come for a good time, a great run, and good food in the beautiful mountains of Asheville.

We will be meeting at the Ingles at the corner of New Leicester Hwy and Patton Ave in Asheville on the 17th of April (I wanted to get this up early so we could play with dates if need be). We will be pulling out at 12 (noon) so please be half an hour early. The course will take us up through Leicester along NC-63, over the mountain to NC-209. From there we will head up to Hot Springs through a ton of twisties. COURSE IS VERY STEEP AND CURVY. ROUND TRIP IS 2HRS W/OUT LUNCH, PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

We will be stopping in Hot Springs for lunch at a local mom & pops dinner which I frequent every time I pass through. Very good food!

After lunch we will head back to Asheville following the very scenic Riverside Dr.

If you get a chance, try TN 32 from the Cosby campground up the Mtn. You can stop when the chat road starts. Its got some really nasty 160 deg up hills and decreasing radius turns. Tell me if you can get to third? I do this road each time I go up to my farm in Newport.

Ben, I'm gonna try to make this one. I missed it last year since I wasn't sure if I'd have my car delivered by then! Loking forward to it!

 

I think the one where Zoe got sick was the trip to Lake Lure...

I won't be going to Helen, work and life have gotten in the way a lot lately, so I'm putting up here just what I can do. If anyone knows and good roads between Asheville and Charlotte, I'm more than willing to drive them and check them out so maybe we can have a better turn out.

I can't wait to see you all up this way again, it'll be a blast!

Hi Ben, Add Sheroyn and I in LilMax (Tilley had to be turned in on a lease; but we found her a real good home and LilMax..hot chocolate cabrio..is filling the void). I've heard lots of great things about this run; looking forward to it!!
