Well you didn't leave anybody in charge and people just don't know how to do on their own. Tried to get Cindy to put in for VP m2c2 but nothing came of it.

 

I am seriously considering it. I want to show off my Orange car to my fellow AZ club... DMC. I have been to AMVIV 3 times and its the best trip ever!! I went in 06, 07 and 08 but didn't go in 09 and missed it. I will let you all know.

Ah contraire mon fraire.. you dont have to be a dues paying member for any amt of time.. In fact.. I took columbia in June.. didnt pay dues until September.. then my two years began.. so hopefully that clarifies.. and really... does it matter if someone pays dues to put runs together? Probably not.. if people get into a pissing match over who pays what.. then the club will end up exactly where it is at.. and the next pres will have alot of work to fix it.. so get out there and motor!!!Its about the car.. not about your ca$h! I can understand the dues for car shows and that kind of thing.. but not so much for doing runs.. and the last I understood.. and I could be wrong.. columbia was going to branch out on its own.. Go have fun with the cars and people that you enjoy!!! Thats what M2C2 is about.. enjoying each other.. I know I miss you all and cannot wait to get out there for Helenblitz 2010... the beginning of another 50 years!!! WooTTTT..

 

OK Here's the deal. I could potentially fly out, but I am very afraid of doing so. I would have to get coverage for back up call that weekend and I have waited too late to book a room in the host hotel. Luther .. anyway I could stay with you if I am able to swing this???

The bylaws were in place long before we got here and they define how things are run.

 

DOC, you got a room, no shirt no shoes no problem. I have 4 days but going to call and see if I can get the whole week.

Some rules need to be ignored for the good of the club Chris or changed, not for people to get picky about and split hairs like you are all doing. If we had followed those bylaws, Ruffcat would never have been able to be VP for Columbia, and wouldn't have done most of what the club has done....this was never an issue prior to you becoming president...connection???

Cindy, if you don't want to be VP for Columbia, just go ahead and say it, and clear up a lot of this mess as to who is who, and if they are eligible. There's no reason you can't say "Hey, lets get together and do this, or have dinner here!" on the forum. As long as its doable, people will be there! Thats how Ruffcat did it a few times, and look how many people always showed!!! Its not as impossible as you think, and you don't have to be a "VP" to do it.
