We've been invited to display our beauties at the Speedway Club at Lowes Motor Speedway on Wednesday evening on August 26th. This is a weekly event they do for Speedway Club members. We'll be the only club displayed, which is a first. With this comes free food (hors d’ oeuvres)! Cash bar only.
We're to be there by 4:30 (5:00 the latest) and it runs until 8:00 or so.
We will present the second $1,000 to the Speedway Childrens Charities that evening.
If we can get 15-20 cars together that'd be great. Please post here if you can attend.

I'm not usually a car show attendee b/c MINICHI is so rough, however, I haven't been to an event in forever, it's mid-week and I need to clean the car to <gulp> sell it, if I ever get around to that, so I'm a definite maybe. ;-)

 

Dave say it ain't so? That would like be getting rid of one of your kids. But a man has got to do what he has too. Thinking about retiring the BLUCOOPR and starting new project. Would love to get one of the F1 Minis.

I would like to congratulate M2C2 and thank them for donating to Speedway Childrens Charities. I was just told yesterday that General Tom Sadler will be at this event to thank the club for their donation. The outdoor happy hour is always special because of the cars the people and the free food. This is a Speedway Club member only event with M2C2 being the guest of honor. The Speedway Club is not inviting any other cars in for this event; which is a first. This will be all MINIs. They are hoping for 20 MINIs or more. The cars will be outside under cover next to the food and the tables, you will be impressed by how they will showcase your cars.

Rumor has it that top fuel driver Doug Herbert will be there to say thanks to M2C2 for their donation to the B.R.A.K.E.S. foundation.

Well...this should come as no surprise, I'm still at work and late on deliverables, I don't have the car detailed and I don't have the drywall sanded even though I hung and mudded it a week ago, so the wifey's no happier than my boss. ;-0

Bottom line: I'm a slacker, no show loser once again, you guys have fun and please take pics, so I can live vicariously late one night when I sneak on again?

 

Can my 12 year old son come along?? He promises he won't drink too many margaritas....
