This is a German restaraunt picked by Hawg ( David ), it will be his last meet and eat in Columbia for awhile.. so come on down to send him off to Clemson.. mini cooper style.. Go Tigers?! ( Gawd I hope that was right ).

Dinner at 7. Susan said it is a small operation. Cash or Check.. ONLY so don't bring your credit or debit cards.. this may not be as good as Haus Heidelburg.. but worth checking out.. It is called Julias German Stammtisch.. meaning.. Regulars..
In Germany you can "buy" a dinner table at your favorite restaraunt, this means your table is yours on a set day during a week or month depending on how much you pay. Even if you don't go to the restaraunt that night.. the table is empty because you own it.. You then own stammtisch.. meaning your a regular at the restaraunt, they know you intimately and there is often a very good friendship established between you and an establishment.. It is very eliteist

I found some "smart" people who understand the allmighty MINI in my area...

Since I wont be able to go rep for M2C2 because of a time crunch this is really close and convinient to me so I will def do my best to be there.

 

My father has heard this place is very good. One of his professor who is german loves the place, so I think that is a good omen

 

Looks good for my making it out there for a trip. Probably will make an overnighter out of it, though - it's a bit of a hump to get back to Augusta afterwards, and there's no rush.

Any good roads in the area worth driving on a Saturday morning?

As far as twisty roads, Columbia unfortunately doesn't have many We normally travel up north to find fun runs!

It looks like I will be flying to Dallas, tomorrow or Monday. David's Father who lives in Vietnam passed away yesterday. I will be back Friday afternoon, and will attend but I may be late., David is staying in Dallas for another week.. if I need to I will fly back out. So if I am not right there, pls don't wait, I will see you all when I get backj.

 

Very sorry about David's father; best wishes. Sheroyn and I and Miss Tilley will be present for the meet and eat. Did my time in Germany (daughter was born there) and learned to love the food. See ya'll there.

Julia's is awesome! My girlfriend (at the time) and I ate there about a year ago and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember the salads being unusual but delicious. The atmosphere was casual with a made-from-scratch kind of feel. The lady who founded it drives a pretty sweet Mercedes. I'll try to make it out there and meet some of you guys.
