Waterfall Extravaganza!!!!

Who is in for some driving, easy hiking, eating and spectacular waterfalls on Saturday 22 March?

Here is the itinerary...

Meet in Greenville at the Cherrydale shopping center parking lot 10:30 outside the movie theater. Here is a map of the meeting location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=e...0735248&li=lmd

Depart Cherrydale at 11:00

Proceed via US276 through TR and then enjoy the uphill twisties to Caesars Head.

Stop at Caesars Head for views, photos, (and draining of unused coffee for certain folks)

Proceed into NC on US276 while enjoying downhill twisties.

Take the Slosson Cutoff and proceed to Dupont State Forest.

Enjoy easy hiking to both Triple Falls and Hooker Fallls. Be sure to bring your cameras!

Proceed back to US276 and continue to Brevard NC.

Enjoy a tasty lunch and most excellent company at Brevard's classic Cardinal Drive-In restaurant.

Surprise mystery add-on after lunch for anyone who has some extra time!

Count Floyd and Sharon in. Sounds like a wonderful plan to us. Don't forget the fork in the road before the Slosson cutoff.

We'll miss you for sure if you can't make it, but not to worry too much - I have a number of additional waterfall roadtrips in mind!

Yeah, I would...wishful thinking that it would come in that early, it's probably going to be here in mid-April. Just in time for the Dragon!

Supposed to be in Charlotte for a separate event that weekend, but we'll see. MINIs tend to win out over my other hobbies

triple falls is about 15 minutes uphill on wide trail (basically easy but the last portion is pretty steep)

hooker falls is about 10 minutes level on a wide trail (easy)

Oooo, may have another thing lined up for that weekend, but this one sounds good too. The Cardinal is a great little drive-in.
