Hendrick MINI Event

Hendrick MINI Event
We are planning to have a big event in October at Hendrick MINI. Since M2C2 would be the people most involved, we would like your ideas.
Some Ideas...
MINI Cooper Pinewood Derby- Each person would pay an entry fee to participate and all proceeds would go to the Hendrick Marrow foundation.. You would get a wood MINI car to build as you see fit. We would have a race day on a Saturday and everyone would compete. Prizes for speed and originality.
Poker Run- Each MINI would pay an entry fee to participate and all proceed would go to the Hendrick Marrow Foundation. We would start out at Hendrick MINI and would have five events throughout Charlotte and the surrounding area. Each event you complete, you will get a playing card and the location of the next event. After all events are complete, you would return to Hendrick MINI to "show your hand". The best hand wins. We would possibly have a meal at Hendrick MINI.
We want this to be a huge event. Any thoughts? Send any other ideas you might have too!

just a thought
2007 GT LIVE/KONI Challenge
The weekend of October 5-7 will see the return of one of the most exciting events to hit VIR in many years. The GT LIVE/KONI Challenge Series Weekend will bring back the multi-faceted “motorsports theme park” of GT LIVE, including drifting, time attack, karting, rallying, stunt bikes, car and bike shows and music, that was so popular with young enthusiasts last year. Joining GT LIVE again will be the KONI Challenge Series (formerly known as the Grand-Am Cup Series), which will end its 2007 season with a pair of six-hour endurance races for the Grand Sports (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes.

I have to vote for the Pinewood Derby - this is a great idea.
However, the VIR weekend sounds like a lot of fun!

A couple laps around Lowes Speedway is not out of the question. The club has done this before but it is not cheap. You have to have a wrecker and medic's there just in case someone does the un-thinkable and that did happen the 1st time. Anyone wanting to do this this fall we can but it will cost a fee. We could charge a little more and donate to the Speedway Childrens Charity. Any one interested let me know!!!
