East Coast Mini-E Gathering
Hello, I organizing a Mini-E get together for the NJ & NY pioneers. We are meeting at my Restaurant in Montclair, NJ on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00. I have a private parking lot so we can all park together and off street. I do not have a 220V charger there but some will be able to plug their 110V cable if necessary. There are a couple wall chargers not far from the restaurant, but please arrange that yourself if you need to. You can find local places to charge at http://waterway4.com/mini-e/ Please email me if for more information if you are interested in attending at: Tom.Moloughney@gmail.com

Deptford to Montclair, NJ
SJMINIE: I would love if you could come but it won't be easy for you to make it. I just looked up the distance in Google maps and Deptford is 97 miles from Montclair. You could make it here, as long as you drive 60-65mph but you would need to fully recharge and I don't have a charger at the restaurant. There are other participants in the area that have wall chargers and will share, but you would need to get in contact withe them to arrainge it. You can go to http://waterway4.com/mini-e/ to see where the chargers are and there is contact info to reach the owner. I hope you can make it. Please send me a message if you are coming and I'll give you the address. It looks like there is going to be a nice group of us.

I will try to make it. Before i email everyone on that list, could anybody volunteer 3-4 hrs of their wall box? Also, do you maybe have a 240v outlet at the restaurant? An electric range would have a 240v outlet. The box on the wall is nothing more than a safety device. The chargers are built into the car. If you look inside the wall box it is empty. All you need to charge at 32 or 50 amps is to put the proper 240v plug on the end of the charging cable that is now hooked to the wall box. There is three large guage wires (120V hot,120V hot and a ground) and the remaining small wire 18awg or so is to turn on the breaker in the wall box. 240v is nothing more than two 120v lines from different legs of your breaker box.

Sorry, I do not. I have one in the kitchen but it is necessary for our convection oven. Plus, I can't have the cable on the floor of the restaurant as it is a tripping hazard and we have no rear entrance that is vehicle accessible. Still, I hope you figure a way to come, it should be fun to share our stories
