Hey everyone! It's good to finally find a good forum where there are alot of people who share my love for the mini coopers! This is just a goofy question, but just out of curiosity..... of those of you who actually own the new mini's (or even the old ones for that matter)..... how many of you have gone as far as giving your mini's names?! I myself haven't gotten myself a mini yet, the plans are to get one ASAP though! But I may give "her" a name once i've got "her" in my driveway!

 

I actually think that the majority of us have named our Minis....and it's funny how much the personality of the Mini changes depending on what color you have (we were talking about that today....we had a meet and had 14 of them next to one another). My Mini's name is DeeDee.

Thanks! I agree about the colors! It makes it your own, and at the same time gives it it's own individuality and personality!! I just need to figure out that perfect name to give her to reflect her personality!! But i'm afraid i can't give her a name until i've actually got her in my driveway, and get a feel for her personality! I don't mind though!! I just can't wait to get my gal! :smile: I'm sure i will thoroughly enjoy being a part of the forums!!

Welcome to the site! Always nice to hear from another MINI enthusiast. As far as naming my MINI, since mine is still on order I am still debating what to name my baby.

Hey Dave... I'm waiting for My MCS to be delivered, it's on a 'Canadian Vacation' right now (my boat docks in canada before making its way down to NYC), but it's Chili Red, and named the Mach 4... Kinda like Speed Racer's car, but it's a bit smaller, so it's not a Mach 5, but a Mach 4....

I'm still debating on the name for my baby!! I'm debating on whether i should give her a name like you did.... like something that sounds like the name of a car from a spy movie, or give her a girls name?!?!?! I've got time to decide...... I wish i had her now! It would probably be easier for me to decide if i knew her better!! How did you name yours?? Was it a name you had planned? Or after you had seen what she'd look like did it just pop in your head or what?!

Welcome Dave! I actually hadn't though of giving het a name until someone on this board asked the same question recently! I've decided to name her Holly 1. Because she's Chili Red and 2. Because I think my MINI has the quirky personality of the character Holly GoLightly from Breakfast at Tiffanys. When are you getting your baby? My MINI to arrive in one more week!

 

You're lucky! i won't get mine for at least another few months! I haven't even placed my order yet, so it's not even a few months on a waiting list... it's a few months, then the order, then the waiting list....... but it'll be well worth it!!!

My mini is going to be chili red as well....... perhaps i could incorporate that into her name??! hmmmm.... not an easy decision! hehehe

Are you going to get pictures of your mini for all to see? I'd love to see em!

After reading this post I got to thinking that naming my MINI would be very cool! Came up with Finchie or THE FINCH - as in "let's take THE FINCH for a cruise!" The colors are like a goldfinch, which is an awsome looking and scrappy little bird.

I thought a lot about the name for my Mini and waited until I actually had the car to name her. I call her 'Mimi', short for Minnie Mouse, for the red car and black roof. It is fun to find out what everyone else is calling their Mini. All the names have been great. I saw a black Mini here in Connecticut with a mini me license plate.

Great named people must think alike, I already have a Euro plate with the name of "Mini Me" on it, you can see it in the Member Mini's on page 26. My little dude, Mini Me!
