Hi Edubledie,

We would love to have you attend Mini Meet East 2007. It will be held in Alcoa, Tennessee from June 28 to July 1. You can read more about the 32nd gathering of Minis at www.mme2007.com. Mark was nice enough to set up this forum for discussion and questions regarding Mini Meet East.

To find MINI owners in the N VA area you might want to make this post in some of the sub-forums for the east coast. I'm sure you will find some folks for a local drive.

Come on down here to Tennessee when you have a chance to enjoy our scenery and roads.

Cheers,
Donna

I know what you mean. I did join the DCMM group, but just can't seem to meet up with them. I know I have seen a few MINI'S in my area of Northern
VA. It's a great idea just doesn't seem like very many have responed to this idea. Of course the nice weather may have everyone out Motoring.

The DCMM club is one, if not THE most active MINI clubs in the country. Check out the forum and you'll see.

If you're just looking for some fellow MINI owners to hang out with, without having to join a club, I'm up for it.

I'm out in Chantilly. There are plenty of places for a evening drink, mod help etc. I'll even host a mini-MINI party at my place this summer if I even get my kitchen remodel completed.

Some of us will hang out and make some runs @ Capital Raceway this Sunday, 3/11. We should be there at 11am until 2 or 3pm.

And next week cruise, 3/17, you don't have to be a member to join. Meet us there.

We will also have Coffee & Mini, a casual Mini meet. Nothing fancy, just coffee and Mini talk. The next one will be in Va.

Check on DCMM forum and Mid-Atlantic forum as well.
Actually, if you want to just chill out, I'm good too, let me know.

DCMM has a lot of events that are open to non-members. If you go to our forum, there are stickies of events and if it states DCMM Members Only or something similiar to that, than it is restricted. We do charge non-members for some events, but that will be noted in the event description. Other than that, come on out.

If you can't find the time to attend events, at least chat with us on the forums so than if you do make it to one, we will at least know whom you are.

Looks like the club wants your business... If you're not careful they might send an enforcer after you... Just kidding ofcourse.

I've only managed to make it to one of the DCMM group get togethers. Nice group of people, and I would have gone to more, but I travel a lot and I'm lazy. I recommend that you do at least try and get out to one event, but I can understand wanting something different.

So if you are looking for a more informal, smaller (the DCMM events tend to be large since it's a large active group), I'm still up for it. I've had another member over to borrow my garage for and oil change during the cold months of winter.

When I was active on AudiWorld there were a few guys who I would have lunch with occasionally when I happened to be working in Reston. Being able to meet for lunch on an hour's notice with a few other MINI owners just because we work near each other is cool.

Threads merged.

edubledie,

In the future, please don't post the same topic in more than one forum... it's called cross-posting, and isn't permitted on NAM, because it causes confusion at times!

I do encourage you to check out DCMM though - as JustJAY has posted above, most of our events are open to both members and non-members alike... sometimes with no charge at all. Even if there is a charge, it's usually only $5. Membership is just $26 per year, if you decide to join, and has a couple of perks like a T-shirt, badge and discounts at local MINI dealerships.

DCMM is generally a lot more active in the warmer months than the winter, so there's a much greater likelyhood that you'll find something that fits your schedule then.
