Driving a mini is more fun that a bug zapper.

I hear that - after 1300 miles in 40 hours, I can't even see out of my windshield - can't use the wipers... 'cos then there would be smearage, lol.

It may be icky but it sure is fun to lower the insect population.

I wonder if a heavy application of wax would make it easier to just hose off the little devils at the next rest stop. Bring along one of those water guns that looks like a sub machine gun that kids use at pool parties and hose down the front bonnet at will then refill the water gun with a bucket.

Just like there is brake dust- this is bug dust. Yuk

well at least you don't have any of the bigs ones on there... after today, i'm going to have to scrub the guts off my front end.... i mean, i looked through the grille at my radiator, and they're in there too... these things leave splatter marks the size of a half-dollar, if not larger. anyone know how to get these things off without messing up the paint???

Use a good sudsy soap. No dish soap. Something designed for cars. A hogs hair brush will take it all off without scratching.

I just cleaned off a lot of that bug gunk yesterday!

I always feel like I'm flossing MINI's teeth when I do... heeheehee!

I believe if I were a bug...I would be waiting roadside right now for the first MINI to come along...to end it all before becoming bird food.

I sure got my share of the buggies this weekend, too. I decided to take a detour (just for fun) down a certain country road at dusk. Cleaned my windshield (and front) before...and had to clean it afterwards. 3 miles total. I guess I was in their territory. (...sorta cut back on the detours for the rest of the weekend.)

Do you think the color of your car had something to do with the excessive bugs? I know the Mini´s design doesn´t help much but yellow attracts bugs like magnets

I kind of feel like a female Jim Morrison: I am haunted by the souls of the bugs that died so violently on dawns highway...

Nasty!
I thought mine was bad but it's not even close!
ALL the bugs in CO must have been out this weekend. A nice jaunt through the Rocky Mountains - and major buggage! (what's up with the huge gooey clear splats? Clear bugs??)

Clo - Wanda probably looked so furry she coulda used a shave!
