On Order Status

My new MCS is now listed on order on the factory web site, its even got all of my spec's. How long does it usually take before the car moves on to production? I can't wait:impatient

best person to ask is your Motoring Advisor (MA = salesperson). they can tell you the car's status. If i remember correctly... 111 is on order, but still a bit of time, 112 is very close to production (I ordered mine in 112 on a Thursday and it was in production by Monday) and 115 is locked in and no changes. Also 1-866-ASK-MINI might be able to give you the same info, but I'd ask your MA first... ask him what the production status number is. Good luck! The waiting is fun and not fun!

production

I found the MINI owner's lounge updates to be very slow. The best info I received was by calling 1-888-ASK-MINI and inquiring about the status.

Mine was rolling through the factory about 4 days after I placed the order. I got lucky though. It'll probably take about 4-5 weeks for you to be driving your MINI. I'm SOOOOOOO close!

I've been trying to not pay attention to the process of my MINI because it was driving me INSANE. That was all i ever thought of.....i was DOOMED!! But i read this thread and i thought i might give MINI a call. Isn't it 1-866? Anyway, i called it and it said my vehicle was scheduled for production with no production date yet
Although that did give me some relief i was left confused. How long does it usually take to go from no date to a date?
Thanks

I have always believed that misery loves company, I thought BMW owners were all nuts, now that I'm almost a Mini owner I'll have to include Mini owners in that prestigious group of car nuts.

I ordered mine on Oct 2 and it's still in On Order status. Did your MA give you a production week? I took over one of their production slots and got week 45. I guess that's why mine isn't scheduled yet.

Waiting is so hard!

You guys haven't yet experienced frustration. I ordered mine on September 16. Three weeks ago I heard a completion date of 10/27 but todays update at askmini told me 10/31. The order status in the OL still says "On Order". I wonder what costume it will have? Anyways, it took 5 weeks for me to actually get the date. I'm in Seattle, so I probably won't see Mini Me for 5 weeks after the completion date and thats assuming that it has its immediate boarding pass for the cruise.

Ordered mine on Oct 1. I checked the status yesterday and it's done and waiting for the boat ride. I didn't check status for nearly 2 weeks, so I don't know exactly when it was completed.. I ordered my MCS with no packages and few other options, so I'm guessing that might affect it's production speed.

I ordered my HB/S silver bonnet stripes sept 9th and it didn't move into prodution till Oct. 7th. It wasn't till just a few days ago it was waiting for transport. Well I checked on the shipping status and it's on a boat and heading on over. :impatient I have the say the wait is driving me nuts!!! I've been checking everyday since I got the e-mail saying it was on order.

It seems to vary widely. My mini was on order Sept 23rd but did not go into production until 10/06. Then awaiting transport on 10/16. My mini is on the doc and waiting for transport. Not sure how long that will take. I also check sometimes twice a day since it's been on order.

I am week 41 ... anyone else on a ship to Florida yet?
