I am probably going to be told that this thread has been posted 100,000 times, but I have a picture request, and a challenge for anyone up to it.

I'm ordering a Cooper soon. I have (almost arbitrarily) set the price cap to $20,000. The car HAS to have sport suspension plus. All other options, including color, are open. The challenge is to spec a car for $20,000. It has to have ss+. I'd just like to see what other people come up with.

My picture request is: I'd like to see pictures of Coopers. One of the things I am having trouble with is the chrome grill on the cooper. I keep leaning toward pepper white/black, but I can't decide if I like the chrome grill on pepper white.

So, have fun, help me out, and I promise to send pictures when I've got my car!

get a PW/PW roof, its less hot in the summer time, and if you ever want roof stripes you dont have to get inverted colors.

 

You can upgrade your suspension with another person's MCS sway bar for practically free and HSport springs and get a much better result. Spend the cash on the Xenons or the HK. Or metallic paint. Or the sunroof.

Ok these are the options i came up with for $19,924

PW/B with black stripes.

1.) SS+
2.) 15' inch holes (best looking 15's from the factory IMHO)
3.) Xenon head lights
4.) Front fogs
5.) Rear fog
6.) Auto wipers/head lights
7.) Black cloth seats
8.) Anthracite dash/interior trim
9.) Multi-function steering wheel
10.) Black bonnet stripes
11.) Mini logo, cloth floor mats.

however...this is not how i would spec my car. But then again...not alot of people spec their car like me.

I dont like chrome myself. You could always change the grill to a black one after you get the car. Here is my car.

 

X2, listen to the wise knowledge on NAM! There are too many aftermarket options to waste your money getting "stock" parts. Get the Xenon's DEFFINITLY! I wouldn't worry about the HK or Nav....I never listen to my music loud in my MINI hahah! Again with the grille, go aftermarket! Or well....aero kit if you like that (but it's LIKE an aftermarket part, I think!)

thanks! this is fun. I like the delta spokes right now (and they are a no - cost option, which is nice). the plan would be to pick up a set of holeys for autocrossing.

now, in the sport suspension plus, is it just different springs and a rear sway, or is the front different too? theoretically I could get the rear sway and springs from anyone who is upgrading an S and still be legal in H stock if that is the case!

(by the way, that is nicely optioned. I hadn't thought about being able to get the xenons and fogs and keep it under 20k.)

 

In that case, I still wouldn't waste the money on SS+. There are people that sell the springs and swaybars on here..you just have to look for them. Or, you could go all aftermarket, BUT, that would force you into a different class (I think).
