arm rest

Has anyone had any experience with this arm rest?? I'm looking to get one, but want one that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg...or my first born... do you think it might get in the way of shifting?

Forgot to mention that I have an automatic but I don't think it will interfere with man trans shifting.

The factory one I have installed does not stay shut properly, though the dealer is replacing it I think it is more of a design problem than anything else. Aftermarket might actually be superior to factory installed on this particular option.

Actually it is from a guy that sells them on ebay! if you do a search for mini cooper armrest you can find it. They usually sell for about 60-80 dollars which is much more affordable than all the other armrest options out there...and of course then there is the storage issue as well (we all know mini's don't have a huge amount of storage)

racoman-good!! I'm glad to hear from someone that likes it...I went ahead and bought it so it should be coming from Canada! Easy to install is another plus Thanks!

Is it leather? Does it match the leather in the Mini?

I don't think it is made out of leather, but it comes in black and the pic in my first post is the actual arm rest inside of a mini and it looks like it matches pretty well...I haven't gotten mine yet so I'm not sure first hand though..
