it only starts ratteling when i dive the mini hard and redline it for a while....

then when i need stop in front of a red light, i hear the rattle and its harder then my music inside the car.... So it makes me feel annoyed and thinking i have this cheap catback system installed...

i asked my friend what it could be and he mentioned the rubbers ? How can i fix this problem and can it be the rattle starts after driving the car hard ??

The SS system is in various pieces which allows for greater adjustability so go back to the installer - recreate teh problem and then let him tweak the exhaust.

trial and error

I had a similar problem with my Milltek. It didn't rattle at startup but after the system is hot the exhaust tends to vibrate more. In my case it was the passenger side muffler that was hitting the heat shield around the battery cover when vibrating.

I used some spacers (washers) between the rubber hangers and the unibody to lower the exhaust slightly, problem solved. I could have also bent the heat shield slightly and solved it that way, I just chose the other method.

My SuperSprint catback doesnt itself rattle, but causes my rear bumper to rattle often when stopped at idle. I located that the problem is where the viper tips sit agains my Orciari bumper. I couldnt fix it and also had my shop look at it, and there wasnt anything that they could do either. It is anoying, but at least it looks good.
