Initial Impressions, 15% pulley, CAI and GIAC

I just picked up my '05 MCS from Helix where Eric installed a 15% pulley, CAI and GIAC ECU remap.

The first thing I noticed was the sc whine, it's certainly more pronounced and will take a little getting used to. The second thing was the broader torque curve and the third was the uncanny smoothness when the engine winds up. All-in-all I'm a very happy customer and glad I made the move.

Eric was informative throughout and everything he told me has proven to be right on the money.

So if you're thinking about a pulley or a GIAC remap, go for it!

Richard Ross, another satisfied Helix customer.

The whole package, 15% pulley, GIAC remap and CAI was $884 + tax. I think it's about the best you can do on a hp/$ basis and the drivability of the car is even better than stock. So far it looks like all upside! Fuel economy (on a highway basis) seems no worse or even a little better. I'll be making another run to the Catskills in a few weeks so I'll have a direct comparison to stock when that's done.

All-in-all, it seems like money well spent at the moment.

Nice, Eric is great to deal with.
I'll be getting GAIC and injectors next time down.

If going up into the hills, you should really consider the rear sway bar... it'll really change the character of your car... again!
Also his SSK is great!
