Spacers with R99s

What's the max width spacers I should run? I was thinking 10mm all around or, 5mm in the front and 10mm in the back.

Who's running spacers here? If you do, post some pics up!

wat offset are the R99's? 48mm? I think you'll want no more than 5mm
and run wider tires like 215/40/17's.

I did a lot of research on spacers and I found someone on this site that used 15mm spacers all around and has had zero problems (e.g. wheel bearings) with many, many miles logged.

Yup. I have the photos on my home system, so I'll bring them in tomorrow and post them. His NAM ID is "Kem-e-d". He had them on a stock MCS with his S-Lites if that helps any.

S-Lites have a 48mm offset. These photos are for reference only.

I thought a 42 offset worked for 215/40/17. A 38 would be tight. Anything more or less would create rubbing problems. Yes or No?

(Speculation is so much fun... we could just ask someone from TireRack and put this to rest.)

Nope. There's a 48 stamped right on my wheel.

I have a set of 17" 7.5 Rota SubZeros with Falken 205 45ZR17 on them and would love to find out what size spacers I could install. Car is not lowered but has had the lug bold conversion done.

Does anyone else have any more pictures of wheel spacers on their MINI? I want some 15mm spacers but I'm worried about the longevity of my wheel bearings...

^^^ depends on your driving style, i have 10mm spacers in the back and 5mm in the front, for experimental purposes, and works fine so far. On my older MK4 GTI, had 15s al around, did not hurt for 25K, and aggrassive driving. I would agree with Ken, although he is a garage queen, he is very experienced

Ok. I have a 2003 R50 with 16" R84 X-Lites. I was thinking about 15mm spacers all around. Would I have any issues? I drive aggressive and put a lot of miles on the MINI.
