anybody with high miles (maybe even over 100,000) COOPERS ONLY!! seems all the high mileages are by MCS owners. i want to hear from you cooper owners. oh and any prolems with your coopers with high mileages.
I'm working on it!
Right now it's got 86,700 - ish. It's an '02 model, and the biggest problem was the wiring harness back with 50K miles or so. Since then, no problems. Just oil changes...
I expect to reach the 100K in maybe mid. May, early June.
Take care.
Leo.

Hmmm... between db, Valerie, and me we have 3 high mileage Velvet Red Coopers! :D
I just passed 90,000 miles last week. No major problems in the recent past. The biggest thing that has popped up is the door brake (the thing that goes between the car body and the door that is not a hinge - the thing that makes the door come to rest at various states of open-ness) got all rusty. My door would squeak horribly and was also hard to open and close. I got those replaced ($20 part and 1/2 hour of labor each) last week. The new cars have black rubber coated door brakes, the old cars have bare metal ones.

Well I have a 2004, have 56,000km on it in less then 2 years owning it.
Had an alt. replaced, brakes still going strong, and had to do a belt at 18K, replaced my rubbers a little before I had to.
I realize it is not HIGH mileage, but a lot for the age compared to the others in my local club.

just broke 131,000 on my 03 MC, bought new. Change oil every 5-6000 mi.
BUT..... at 131,230 blew out a spark plug!
dealer wants 2k to replace head
can probably get fixed with heli-coil but is that just temp? wondering if I should just bite bullet for new head with 2yr unlimited mileage warranty
