WOW!!! nobody!!!

LeeL 02-15-2006 02:33 PM

I guess the MCSs got there quicker since they have a supercharger. ;)

CFMINI 02-15-2006 02:40 PM

db from WhiteRoofRadio.com has at least 112K on his Cooper.

xxTHIR13ENxx 02-15-2006 02:45 PM

I'm working on it!

Right now it's got 86,700 - ish. It's an '02 model, and the biggest problem was the wiring harness back with 50K miles or so. Since then, no problems. Just oil changes...

I expect to reach the 100K in maybe mid. May, early June.

Take care.
Leo.

Hmmm... between db, Valerie, and me we have 3 high mileage Velvet Red Coopers! :D

I just passed 90,000 miles last week. No major problems in the recent past. The biggest thing that has popped up is the door brake (the thing that goes between the car body and the door that is not a hinge - the thing that makes the door come to rest at various states of open-ness) got all rusty. My door would squeak horribly and was also hard to open and close. I got those replaced ($20 part and 1/2 hour of labor each) last week. The new cars have black rubber coated door brakes, the old cars have bare metal ones.

Just to revive an old thread... Hit 100,000 today coming home from an early meeting... As of right now, it's 100,017. More to come.

I just had to pull over for it! lol.
Take care,
Leo.

Well I have a 2004, have 56,000km on it in less then 2 years owning it.

Had an alt. replaced, brakes still going strong, and had to do a belt at 18K, replaced my rubbers a little before I had to.

I realize it is not HIGH mileage, but a lot for the age compared to the others in my local club.

just broke 131,000 on my 03 MC, bought new. Change oil every 5-6000 mi.
BUT..... at 131,230 blew out a spark plug! dealer wants 2k to replace head:cry: can probably get fixed with heli-coil but is that just temp? wondering if I should just bite bullet for new head with 2yr unlimited mileage warranty

Can't tell you how comforting it is to read about the little MINIs that keep on going on.

Wow back from the dead thread:lol: I sold my '03 R50 cvt in 2005 with 128k trouble free miles. I already have 100k on my '07 R56 Cooper.

xxTHIR13ENxx 03-17-2010 11:32 PM

Just to update...

167k miles now. Transmission is still the stock Midlands from '02, which is incredible just thinking about it... Clutch has been replaced once, and I think my passenger's axle is about to go soon. All in all, def. getting my money's worth. lol.

lakes73 03-18-2010 04:33 AM

Got 115,000. I rolled over 100k awhile ago and still motoring.

Watched an 06 MC get traded in (for a 2010 MC) at 103k a few weeks ago, with some major CVT issues being the last straw.

My 05 MCS has exactly 134600 on it and shares many of the same parts.

DaveTinNY 03-22-2010 12:38 PM

I dunno, in your post I saw "COOPER S only!" ;)
Just kidding...
Anyway, 104,000 very happy miles on my '05 MCS.
