remote windows down on 06 standard?

On my 06 MINI S I just picked up two days ago (build 12/2005) If I hold down the unlock button on the key for more than 5 seconds, it opens the sunroof, driver, and passanger windows for as long as I hold down the button (until open all the way).

Is this a standard feature? (The dealer told me this was disabled by default)
Is there a way to roll up the windows remotely from the factory?

I know someone sells an add on module for this feature, does someone have a link for this too?
Thanks!

You cannot roll the windows up and close the sunroof with the remote, but you can do it with the key in the drivers door.

The feature is enabled by default, disabled if you request it. Supposedly it was changed recently to be disabled by default. I requested mine to be enabled just to be sure.

I had this feature disabled.

Three times when I came out to the garage the windows and sunroof were open. That was after I came in the house with the windows and sunroof closed and putting the key on the table with no one around to touch it. Could you imagine going out in the morning after it rained a couple inches during the night and seeing your Mini with the windows and sunroof open! It's just not worth having that feature.

This is for inside the car, isn't there another circuit that will let you control the windows from outside the car using the remote?

Back around october the factory stopped making this enabled by default. Be sure to request it if you want it (before your MINI reaches the dealership).
