Has anyone seen an antenna available that is LONGER than stock?

Why, are you trying to make the MINI look even more like a RC?

Hey Yucca:

Is your issue radio reception or looks?

Mini dropped the ball when it comes to radios. When my kid's Sentra is parked right next to mine, it pulls in stations clearly while I'm getting dual reception on the same frequency or just plain noise.

Yep! I think one about twice as long would look great and maybe it might even work better!

Check with W3IWI, Tom's a ham op (and super smart guy but that's another story ) but I beleive he's upgraded his antenna... If not, then he's added a second one...

argh, i deleted the pictures.

I was able to get a Bell Whip antenna, like for a go kart, to screw into the anntenna base. you need to drill out the end of the antenna, and epoxy in a piece of threaded rod. it looks really cool. id only use i for shows, i'm not too sure how stable it might be on the freeway.

Ive still got the antenna, i'll take pics of is on my new car...

I have my stock one in the garage. I could give it to you and you could duct tape them together
