I have a MCS
Its Green with a white top, and I'm thinking about painting the top BLACK!

 

green with a black top...... hhhmmmmm
i think it might look nice... it might give it a little army car kinda look...

maybe matching it up with some back rims will look real good!... hhmmm

Would make for a more unique look for sure. Make it a more angry mini instead of a happy mini

I have to find black mirror covers too. And replace all the chrome on the grill
I think it will look good since I have the sun/moonroof- So there isn't much white to get painted. The white just looks out of place on that car
I guess I need to take pics and photochop it and see how it looks

 

Mine was Green & black before I painted her pink. I like the black roof much better on the green than the white. I agree that it looks out of place. It might be expensive to have it painted though. Get a qoute but also call a vinyl graphix place and see how much it would cost to get a black vinyl wrap on the roof. If they're a good shop you won't even know the difference. Or you could come up with a design and have the roof wrapped with that instead.

The vinyl option is a great suggestion! -- Just get a vinyl black top to cover the white areas and see how you like it. If you do, you're set for a few years until the vinyl gets torn up. If not, you just peel it off. Think of it this way:

"Vinyl has a built in UNDO button!"

 

I think silver would be great also...or DS with matching mirrors.

Check out Cooper Flags and get a full roof cover, they have many and I am sure you will find a good one. It also gives you the option to change it when you get tired of it. I just have one on my sun roof and really like it.

 

i like MC's with green/blk but MCS's look better to me green/white.

 

We just ordered our MCS in BRG with a black roof and black mirror caps. A chrome grill really finishes off the car. I must admit I like the black and white checkerboard roof on BRG.

 

Since you are doing it yourself vs factory order why not take the opportunity to do something unique instead of black? Maybe look at some old racecar photos for inspiration. You could do BRG/burgundy or BRG/yellow - anything Then you could pick up the color in stripes/graphics elsewhere on the car too...

I happen to like BRG/white by the by, very classic and classy looking.
