Anyone with H&R Sway Bar? [No lubrication needed]

Hi

My H&R rear sway bar is in. Will get it fitted next week.

I still have some questions:

From H&R:

H&R’s exclusive composite bushings (Urethane / Teflon) eliminate squeaks and never require lubrication. That means no mess, no maintenance—just bolt on H&R stabilizer bars and go!

I read some ppl with other brands have problems (squeaks) with the sway bar because off not enough/wrong grease. So the H&R sway bar seems to be a good choice. No worries about lubrications/squeaks. Sounds really nice

Anyone with H&R sway bars? Does it really dont need lubrication? Any sqeeking after a few miles? Does it really works what they claims? Or should I use grease to be at the safe side?

I would still put lube on the outside and bottom of the bushings.

Yep, got the 18mm 2 hole H&R on my Cooper (SS).

No grease, no squeak. Its been EXTREMELY cold 0F, -20C, no squeak. I had upgraded sway bars with polyurethane bushings in a Volvo 850 before, LOTS of grease, and they started squeaking when its really cold out after about 6 months.

So far, I must say the H&R works, I just love aftermarket mods where you install and forget about them I never even gave this "squeak" a thought til your thread came up

be ****. even though you don't grease the inside, i'd still grease the
outside and bottom with white lithium grease.

my Atla started moaning earlier this year (first time a swaybar ever
made noise on me on any of my cars) and upon inspection, I found
there was plenty of grease on the inside and outside of the
bushings....but no grease on the bottom since I never actually
applied grease there.

guess wat, i put a dab of grease on the bottom and no more
noise. lessons learned. i will apply grease to the inside,
outside, and bottom of bushings for all future installs.

Maaj- don't use it 'everywhere' it'll be a huge mess to clean up.

I have a problem of fixation... jk

i am open to newer lubes but white lithium is available everywhere
and worked the best so far. I use the one sold in a tube.
(but i do have the aerosol one too for quick fixes).

i also have fixation with de-greasers... I use RC car motor spray.

yep, your outside and bottom is what I was referring to.

Since H&R comments they don't require lubing on the inside, i would
just leave it as is with no lube to preserve watever their coating is.
