Hey, check out this site.

For those of us wanting to improve our motoring skills for the road, check out this site. www.docwong.com/Autos/index.htm Haven't been to a clinic yet, but will try to do the August 13th one as a start.

fun....

This sounds like a whole lot of fun! Its a little far for most of our membership though, but maybe we could get a small group together to join you for one of the clinics and drives. Is there a specific schedule regarding which topics will be covered at which dates?

Sounds like a very cool "organized" drive. The route is one I have taken many times, which is sure to include fun twisties and fast straight away's...

Did you do the August 13th clinic? If so, tell us about what we missed.
Do you plan on going to San Juan Bautista in October and our Anniversary dinner in SF afterwards?

The pre-run meeting was interesting, but not overly detailed. It was about apex turning. But the drive afterwards was great. It was interest to try to line up the car right going into a turn, then exiting it. It wasn't nearly the teaching level as an actual track day would be, but they just go over one topic per meet. It was fun talking with some of the other drivers there, since there were Mini drivers, Porsche drivers, Miata drivers, even a guy driving a Chrysler 300c (or is that m??) sedan. All different cars, all different handling characteristics.
