Very nice! Great idea, was it hard to disassemble the dash and doors or did a shop do it?

Very nice! Although in my case, with the dash and the door panels already in body color, it might be a bit too much.

Looks great goaljnky!!!

The pix on the inside seems like a lot of yellow, but the front picture through the windshield seems balanced with the black interior.

Goaljnky,

I was talking about just the three plastic pieces on the top of the dash. That probably wouldn't be too much yellow. I love all the interior color. I wish I could get an Indi blue gear shifter. That antenna is great!

Turbogeo,

It took me about an hour or two to disassemble everything. I don't want to flood Goal's thread with picture, but if you go here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...achmentid=1752 you can see what it looked like.

Turbogeo,
How did you match the color? The only stumbling block I can see is since I already have the factory panels, the dash trim would have to match exactly. Which would require a body shop to match the color and the gloss.

As far as the shift **** goes, check with your dealer. I could swear that was one of the colors available. That is where I got mine.

I matched the color with paint codes. I took the pieces in to a local body shop with the proper paint codes, and they painted the pieces.

This is the place I went for the codes.

If yours is a new color they may have the codes at the body shop, and the dealer should be able to give you paint codes as well.

the top dash was actually very easy to take off as well.

Goaljnky,

Those mods look great.

I have a PS/B with the Alloy Patina interior. Hopefully everything will work out and I will be swapping the dash pieces with someone who has the silver and wants the patina!

How much did it cost to have the dash and the door panels painted if you don't mind my asking?

Glad the antenna worked out!

Did you use the Plastic Cote stuff? Is the reception any worse?

Sorry for misleading... The dash and the doors came with the car. It's an '05 MCC. The only thing new on the inside is the color matched shift **** which came from the dealer.

Yes, I used Plasti Dip. I was amazed at how close the color was. Absolutely no effect on the reception. The S2000 antenna is ruberized anyway, so a little bit of Plasti Dip (which actually feels rubbery) worked just fine.

Goal, I've been toting the website www.paintworldinc.com for a few weeks. They guarantee a match with your paint code. I painted my dash VR and it matches almost to perfection. They come in spray cans for $20/can and $5/can for clear coat. Good stuff! Now I need to paint the upper pieces!

Shift ***

I like the matching shifter. I was thinking of doing the same because 1)I think it looks nice 2)I haven't seen a lot of cars with this mod and 3)Relatively cheap
