"17" factory web spoke" is probably the optional 2 piece 7x17 R-90 wheel. That weighs 10.95 Kg.

The Web-spoke is NOT the R90, it is R98, quoted on MINI2 as 22.3 lbs.

Yes a little chunky on the weight, but it's on-par with the rest of MINI's OEM 17's.

Yeah, 22 lbs is not light, but I've been looking into aftermarket wheels for awhile now and find that many, esp mulitpiece like the webspokes, are in the same range. Even some (not all before people start quoting the light ones) expensive 17" wheels, Volks, etc, are not as light as you'd think for the $$ - around 18/19 lbs per wheel, and it can be heavier on the less expensive/not as well made cast wheels. So far I'm not in love with the open designs of the super light/stronger wheels and alternately don't want to pay a huge sum for the forged ones I like :P

Something else I've found is that wheel sites are not neccessarily accurate with the weights they quote. I've seen a weight listed on a wheel site then find the manufacturer has it as something else

That's right about wheel sites misquoting weights. If I ran a big wheel shop I would have someone weigh the wheels and note them in the web site.

I had a hard time ascertaining the weight of the 7x16 Panasport. I finally found a site that quoted just over 22 pounds. So I nixed that brand. But recently I found a site that claims the 7x16 Panasport weighs 16.9 pounds.

But I have also seen variations in the length of the MINI. Is it 139.5" long or is it 143.5" long? Do bumper or spoiler variants make that much of a difference? Inquiring minds remain unelucidated.
