F55/F56 Clutch replacement
Clutch replacement
Has anyone done this DIY?
I have a 2015 F56 B38 1.5 I'm trying to plan an inventory and so far I'm getting the clutchmasters stage 1 clutch kit with a steel flywheel and looking at transmission jacks. Are there any seals, etc. that I should replace at the same time? What other equipment other than usual sockets/torx do I need? I have a driver and impact gun. Any help is appreciated and if you live in the SF South bay, some in person help would be great too? 😅 It looks like I'll need to rent garage space at a "DIY Auto labs" location, but would really like to save money. Fam in the area will not let me use their garage or street
Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏

Hello,
Here is a good guide with the Cooper S, which is mostly the same.

I would do the transmission fluid, check those inside axle seals. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=23_1223

Most kits have the fork and guide tube section. Check the engine mounts on removal, they might be shot.
I would make sure you have a full set of metric sockets, rachets, pry bars, flat head screw driver. Also a set of etorx sockets help with extensions and swivels. 3/8 drive gets most things done.
Brake clean, grease or wd40, and a good set of gloves to save your hands.
