Transmission oil

Do the transmission plugs use sealing washers?
Do not see any mention in shop manual or on the fiche or on plugs for transmission?

No sealing washers, no gaskets. Both on fill and drain plugs. Just clean plugs and bores.
OE BMW MTF LT-4 75w-90 is quality fully synthetic fluid. Highly recommended. Two quarts.

No.

You're never going to hurt anything by doing a drain-and-fill, manual or automatic. The manual is easier, takes just two (point zero) quarts, of just gear oil. An automatic is a bit more complicated, but it's basically an old wive's tale that changing the fluid can kill an old transmission. Yes, there are times a transmission dies soon after a change, but that's almost always because the owner decided to (finally...) change the old fluid because something was acting up a bit. I don't recommend the "transmission flush" that is available at some shops - it forces fluid into areas that are best left alone, potentially stressing internal valve body components or stirring up harmless sediment that ends up in your shift solenoids, valve body components, etc.

When I filled the transmission the front wheels were up on jacks, it was filled with two liters I believe.
i left it to drain down, this caused overflow maybe because the front was lifted.
So I was planning to lift the car on four points to inspect frame & other work I did.
i May drain transmission oil out see how much comes out & refill with two quarts liters.

FWIW, I very completely drained my transmission (transaxle...) and split the case to inspect it (yep, it's dry...). I put exactly two quarts of fluid in and nothing was dribbling out until the last tiny bit went in. So I'd say if you got two liters / quarts, and not much came out, you're probably good to go.

Yes some leaked out as the front of the car was lifted, I let the hose drain but more than that came out.
have not taken any portion apart.
so with the car lifted on all four corners I will try again drain see what I get and refill two liters.

No need to drain again. Just level the car and put a little fluid in until it dribbles out the fill port, and you're done.
