Throttle issues
Throttle issues
Hello I’ve been battling a p115c code on my r56 base model for over 2 months now and I’ve just got around to replacing the throttle body. After replacing it I received a half lit check engine light code and the following fault codes of p0120, p1631, and p1637 while still receiving the p115c code. Any help is appreciated on where to go from here. Thank you.
I originally had just the p115c code and was told to replace the throttlebody. The p115c code still persists after replacing the throttlebody with a used low miles unit but has more codes. Could I be looking at this the wrong way? Would it be a mass airflow issue instead?
All the OBDII codes suggest problems with the new throttle body. The plate may be stuck open and there may be additional intake air leaks.
You would likely obtain much more detailed information by retrieving the actual BMW fault codes.

I was able to reset the adaptations with the shop’s snap-on scanner and it threw those codes immediately once again. I reverted back to the original throttle body, I will update you when I get a mass airflow sensor to test on it.
mass airflow sensor replaced and the vehicle continues to stall shortly after being started. No codes present thru the foxwell nt510 elite or the snap-on scanner.

Start checking the spark, fuel, and i would look at that manifold and throttle body.

all checked out fine, fuel pressure is good as well, would pcv failure be something to consider?
