Waterpump pulley won't come out

I've watched every video and read every. How to how the f*** do I get this PULLEY OUTTA here? I swear to God. There is not enough room no matter how hard I try it butts up against the frame and its back edge won't clear the f****** attachment on the water pump, it will not come out, I have tried everything. I've been at it for 3 f****** hours and on top of it. I Just spent twelve hours replacing all the coolant hoses and a bunch of other **** too only to find my ****ing water pump leaking as I came out the next day.
how do I get this goddamm thing OUT !!!!!
I love how project Minnie shows how to do it and says how to do it.But suddenly the camera cuts off and it's out so obviously that wasn't the way to do it or how to do it.So what is the trick? How do I get this d*** thing out?And how do I get that f****** tension off the third bolt, the top left one is impossible to get at.I've tried about 10 different f****** tools on that too.And I cannot get that piece of **** off either.

FWIW, most people recommend disconnecting the motor mount, allowing you to raise/lower the motor to provide additional access.

The pulley will pivot and slide off towards the rear of the car. It's tight, but can be done without disconnecting the motor mount.

And brother, I empathize. Working on a MINI is not for those who lack patience (or have large hands).

Ive replaced 4 waterpumps on the N14 engine...its a headache for sure. I always disconnected the engine mount and lowered the engine as far as I possibly could. I would remove the Friction Wheel, Remove the wheel on the pump and then used a PLT-99658 wrench to loosen them up and then used my fingers once loose enough.

Yep, i used a block of wood and a pry bar a little to give me a little more room to remove it, its very tight in there. Pushes the engine to the side a little more. Some to the motor mount removal also.

Even AFTER lowering my engine as far as it could ao that it would give more access and room I STILL couldn't get it out .
I ONLY got it out by hammering it from the top to wedge it out , now idk how on EARTH I'm going to get the new pulley onto the new pump..
Then my issue wasn't the pump , the coolant tube had cracked where it connects into the waterpump housing lolol after I did ALLLLLLL that work yesterday to fix the leaks.
Haha if not for bad luck , I'd have no luck.
So now i gotta figure a way to get it back together. I had a new ALUMINUM waterpump, coolant pipe and waterpump pulley overnighted because I need to get this done so I can blast my valves. And theeeeeen I get to do control arms and bushings , YEAAA.. LOL.
any tips how to get it in ? There was absolutely no way I could have pulled that pulley out , I swear I tried ATLEAST 2hr , then I just i finally whacked it out because i was pissed.

Looks like you left the friction wheel assembly in there? Might have been easier if that was removed first.

Not sure if you saw this video:

Like Njaremka said....take the friction wheel out. It's just 3 bolts holding it in.

FWIW, most of the repair procedures tell you to do this, note the instructions next to figure 4.

Bummer that you yanked the pump out when it was the coolant pipe causing the leak. That's the same problem I had with my R55S back in May, the flange end deteriorates on the pipe and then the O-ring no longer seals. I was lucky that I wasn't far from home and didn't cook the motor.
