Exclamation A0B6 Code (CAS: Selector-lever interlock)

Hello everyone,

The subject code came up with a yellow warning lamp and the brake light lamp being on in the center speedometer area. Also there is a DSC8 code set. Anyone have suggestion what could be the cause? Seems like it has to do with the automatic shifter area? Could it be a cable adjustment or something broken in the shifter (interlock)? I suppose the brake warning light and DSC issue are related to this A0B6 code issue.

Appreciate everyone's experience and help with this.

Would this be the correct part that is causing the A0B6 code and affecting the DSC8? Is this a common part failure? Looks like it is used on many models and years... Is it possible to repair this shifter?

Has anyone replaced the automatic shifter in their vehicle? Any good video or issues to be aware of (I can't find anything)? Looking to source a used one (p/n: 25167644233) and see if that solves the code... Seems like interior work, under hood work, and under vehicle work to get this done...

@ECS Tuning Do you sell many of these to fix the A0B6 code? Do you have any helpful video information/source on the process to replace this shifter (2014 R60 Base)?

Update: I bought a used shifter mechanism from Ebay to install, but the code has magically disappeared when my daughter brought over the vehicle for me to replace it this weekend??? That just left the DSC8 and brake light which turned out to be a brake sensor wire that was torn and hanging. I just connected the two wires and reset the code on the center pod (which was a pain and took some tries). Now all codes are gone (for now).
