F56 no turn signal sounds

For whatever reason, my 2019 JCW 2-door has decided to stop making the clicking sound when the turn signal is on.

I went through both of the “Biimmer” apps and could find nothing that seemed to pertain.

Any ideas? I’m assuming that that sound comes from the speakers, not an old-fashioned relay under the dash.

The turn signal light functionality is fine. Just no sound to go with it.

I just had the car at the dealership, they did the no-3g update to the car’s firmware. I was hoping that wipe-and-load would fix the problem, nope.

Have you looked in the car's system settings? I believe it's referred to as "gong", it it used to be at least. Odd that you have no sound. The car settings let you change the volume but not turn it off completely.

The gong volume is at the factory default, midway.

I wonder which speaker(s) the blinker noise comes through. It could be all of them, but maybe it's just one of them?

Things are slow at work, I'll go listen to mine and see what I can figure out.

It definitely uses its own speaker and not the radio speakers. It is very isolated to just behind the tach/steering wheel.

I poked around on RealOEM but couldn't find a diagram that showed a speaker back there. I wonder if is integrated into the actually blinker assembly. At $600+, it's not a part I'd just throw at the problem and hope for a fix.

Maybe someone with more knowledge will have some ideas.

I suppose that speaker might be blown, or somehow disconnected.

Does it still feel exactly the same ? Does it still function exactly the same ? Just no noise ? I'd adapt & act like the radio is on. I don't think I've ever heard mine, I'll listen for it.
