Just finished replacing the motor mount on our 2017 Clubman S All 4. Bought the JCW/GP version from Pelican Parts along with the Powerflex bushings. All in the cost was about $300 (including 1 trip to AutoZone for some Torx sockets E12 E14, and E16).
Nice benefit of the repair is now my 1 to 2 shift is buttery smooth.
We had about 53k miles on the clock and was made aware of a small tear about 18 months ago (10k miles). Dealer wanted $1400 to do the repair.
I also have a 2017 S all 4 manual. I replaced this at 65k with the powerflex inserts. I assume I will need to do it again around 130k. What is the difference between the JCW mount and the S mount? More heavy duty?
How are the vibrations with the Powerflex inserts on this mount? I replaced the same mount on my R55 and added the Powerflex insert, and the vibrations were quite strong at idle, so much so that if I were to do it again on that platform I would skip the inserts.
