Lost Job - Need To Get Rid Of Mini
Lost Job – Need to get rid of Mini
All,
I leased my Mini in May 2004. BMW allows the assumption of the remainder of the lease and the current payments with no down payment. All that the buyer needs to do is have a credit check ($29) done by LeaseTrader.com (the company I listed it with) to make sure the buy has a credit score that BMW would accept and then work with LeaseTrader.com, the seller (me) and BMW Financial. The buyer will need to pay the BMW lease transfer fee. Since I have already paid the deposit the buy is not responsible. In addition, the per month price is very low since I paid $2000.00 when I leased the car to keep the payments low ($250.60 b/t). So I am going to take a beating on this deal but I have to do it. I got laid off a couple of weeks ago and I can’t afford the payments and insurance. This is a big sacrifice since I love this car.
You can see the car and all of the details at LeaseTrader.com. Here is a link to the ad...

Job
Hi,
I have had a few people ask me what kind of job experiance I have. I think the following sums it up. Thanks for any help!
For 13 years I was a Insurance Field Adjuster for a number of large insurers. I handled Residential, Commercial Property Claims, including fine arts and technology claims. The last few of those years I was handing claims all over the US with values from 500,000 to 10,000,000.
But I got burnt-out. So about 5 years ago I changed fields and became an IP Core Engineering working in the Networks Operations Center in Broomfield. I monitored, troubleshoot and repaired some of the most expensive and advanced networking gear from firms like Cisco and Juniper. I worked on the backbone gear. One router with line cards could cost a million or more. My network cost 10 billion to build and we had fiber run all over the US and EU. We also have a transatlantic cable. In addition, when I started we had a transpacific cable and fiber in Hong Kong – but we sold that.
About a year ago I got promoted to an IP Operations Project Manager position. I represented different IP Operations departments like the NOC, Service Management, Service Activation, Security and Engineering. I interfaced with just about every part of the company on a project like Billing, Sales, Business units, IT, ect. My first project was helping to launch a new product in a very short time frame to meet the needs of a signed deal worth 120 million dollars. I also interfaced directly with customers.
Now I'm out of work because we restructured/downsized and since my project was launched I was expendable.

If it helps I know Amazon is hiring IP engineering staff. You'd have to relocate to Seattle though.

It's incredible how successfully completing a major project would render you "expendible." Seems incredibly short-sighted on the part of the company, to me.
Sounds like you've built up a formidable CV. Here's hoping it lands you an even better gig next time!
