F55/F56 Truck stuck shut/locked
Truck stuck shut/locked
I closed my trunk rather hard as it had been full and now I'm not able to open it with neither the trunk handle, the drivers side button nor the key fob. When I do any of the three, I hear a a soft "click" as I can hear the actuator trying to release the trunk unsuccessfully. Nothing is jammed in the lock and i've tried pushing and pulling every which way while holding down the button. I am aware the F56 does not have a manual trunk release that is accessible without removing the back paneling which cannot be removed with the boot shut. I'm open to any suggestions before taking her to a mechanic.
Yes, I tried pushing from the inside while friends pulled from the outside. I also pushing in down near the lock all while unlocking to no avail. Funny you mentioned, I did check the gaps this morning incase it was off to one-side but it looks clean and locked evenly unfortunately.
Yes sounds like its stuck, that cable is under there, last resort you break the trim to get it. . https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=41_2290

All i can think is applying some pressure and and outward on the trunk door while hit the unlock. I think either it got jammed from dirt or fabric/something in the trunk that was carried got stuck?

I wish there was a way to get at it the pull release (51249878934) with a screwdriver or something from the inside without having to punch a hole in the trim.
