R56 Oil Cooler Kit

Hi,

I have recently installed an oil cooler kit.

Question is do I need a high volume oil pump to have the oil flowing or oil pressure consistency?

thank you

You shouldn't need a new pump. What kit did you get? I kick myself for not getting the Sneed kit when they were in business. I can't find another adapter that has the oil temp port built in.

I got some brandless one through AliExpress. As my comes without the thermostat, was worried that the stock pump doesn’t have enough oil volume to have it pump to flow through the oil cooler as it’s running differently from the standard stock settings.

Should be fine. I have never read of needing a bigger pump for it. I don't even know if one is available. I have never seen one talked about. And even so, depending on cooler size, you are probably only adding about another quart to the system.
