Hi all, I just bought a 2015 F56 with the 'Essentials' package. Which I believe is the base model. I'm told by the dealer that it doesn't have the onboard computer. When I press the BC button I only get the engine temperature -- no digital speed, average fuel consumption, etc. Could anyone tell me if that sounds right? Thanks so much.

 

I can’t speak for your car but on my 2016 F55 I noticed that I can code things like digital speed on or off using my veepeak obdII adapter with the BimmerCode app. There were so many things I modified with that app. I recommend you check it out.

 

I’ve done extensive coding on my 2015 with BimmerCode as well. One thing I’m curious about is whether it can be coded to display the odometer and possibly the miles to empty while also showing the digital speed display. May have to give it a go this weekend.
