coding cornering lights on with high beams

hello,
i have a 2022 f56.
i've read various places that using bimmercode to code C_CLC_HIGHBEAM_DIS from DISABLE (0x01) to ENABLE (0x00), that this will leave the cornering lights on when the high beams are on...which is what i want.
i can find C_CLC_HIGHBEAM_DIS by searching in advanced mode, and i can change the value from the default 0x01 to 0x00. however, this doesn't change the functionality and the cornering lights still turn off when i turn on the high beams.
are there other necessary changes, or has bmw disable this parameter change?
thanks!

I got cornering lights (I have stock LED fog lamps for reference -- they get used for the cornering lights) working on my 2017 F56S and documented the how-to at this post in another thread. I do not, however, know whether they stay on with the high beams on.

That said, in my case, since the LED fog lamps *are* the cornering lamps, a workaround is to Bimmercode to allow the fogs stay on when the hi-beams are on, and manually turn on the fogs. That wouldn't get you your on with cornering/off when not cornering behavior, but it's a thought.

I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for, but hope it is helpful in some way at least.

thanks so much for replying.
your thoughts were mine, before i realized that the cornering lights weren't fog lights, by mini's considerations. at that time, i used bimmercode to enable fog lights staying on with the high beams, which didn't work, of course. it was then that i started searching and came across people mentioning the advanced coding parameter.
i am thinking that they either changed the parameter(s) necessary to do it, or disabled the ability altogether.
thanks again for your reply.

Hmmm -- good set of thoughts there and I totally see what you're talking about -- and glad to try to assist.

As I reread the post I put up, the center of action for cornering lights seems to be abbiegelicht-referencing params. Since my post basically has you point this param set to the fog lamp output devices, the "real" device to be controlled is the abbiegelicht ("cornering lamp") set rather than the fog lamps proper, and turning hi-beams on is probably turning the "abbiegelichts" off.

Outside of forum-digging I am not familiar with the precise functionality and methods of action of the C_CLC params. But maybe there's something tucked away amongst abbiegelicht references. Maybe. Long shot but maybe.

Guess I need to read up on C_CLC (and C_BLC)... very interested in what you find while pursuing the desired outcome.

3+ years on, I decided to see if anything ever was resolved. I came across this post of mine, and realized that I never got back. heh.
I don't remember all of the specifics, but I did look at what you mentioned about the parameters. it was worth the shot, but it didn't work. then I forget to reply 🙂
