F57 Exhaust recommendation
LOVE the sound my Borla has on my R53. Resonator and two mufflers, but I imagine it would have a similar sound on an F. You guys are spoiled though. Agency Power still makes an all Ti exhaust for your cars. Super lightweight. There is an R56 on Youtube with a similar exhaust config getting dynoed and it has a nice sound. Made some gains too IIRC. Spendy though.
Edit: Incidentally, Borla exhaust systems come with a 1,000,000 mile warranty for the original purchaser. I had mine replaced under warranty in 2020. Put it on the car in 2004.

Sometimes an aftermarket exhaust can emit drone and everybody's tolerance is different. I have seen people spend the money, cut off their old exhaust, weld on the new (Borla, Magnaflow...etc) and come back a week later saying 'get it off my car, I can't stand it anymore'.
I have also seen people put on an aftermarket exhaust with a lot of drone and they just deal with it. With that said, if possible find somebody who already has one on their Mini, go for a ride and see if it's for you. Just my two cents.

Best advice ever.
Because of that"
I ended up with a GP3 exhaust 70mm. Has a nice sound from the back, and absolutely pleasant in the cabin.

You didn’t specify whether or not you have a Cooper or Cooper S. That’s an important distinction because options vary greatly between the models (with a lot more options for the latter). Also, being that you have an F57, the overall volume of the exhaust is really important. The F57 has far less cabin sound insulation than the F55/56 and whatever exhaust you get will by default be quite a bit louder inside with the top up than any F55/56 will be with the same exhaust. Drone will therefore also be more prominent in the F57. If you don’t care, and/or only drive the car with the top down, maybe it matters less to you (or, it could matter even more!).
I have a Remus exhaust on my F57 Cooper and I’m quite happy with it. Between it, the AWE intake, and RPM ECU remap, I love my little 3-cylinder bugger!! The exhaust sounds fantastic and isn’t drone-y or too loud, top up or down, but I’m also biased to the 3-cylinder sound over the 4-cylinder sound ☺️

I have the Borla Sport muffler on my 2018 S with the 6 speed auto. Love the sound! It really amplifies the pops and burbles. Definitely not "ricey". Has a nice deep tone, and I don't notice any drone in the cabin.
I agree. I just bought my 2015 F56 and it has a "Glasspack" or something like it with straight-through exhaust. The dealer put a resonator on it in order to sell the car but it is still noisy and drones incessantly when cruising. Worse is the drone when downshifting. Just a loud, deep buzz. I want the quietest muffler I can put on that won''t throttle back the extra power this car has because of a special tune. I have somewhere around 240 to 250 HP and don't want to put on an exhaust with pipes so small that I need to completely retune the engine.
Thats great, coming from a convertible that i own, the exhaust is always going to sound louder on those cars even with the top up, with the top down you hear it more.
If you remove the rear muffler on most MINIs you will get drone. Resonator helps up front but will not combat the muffler delete unless your in to that loud sound.

Folks, just be aware that in NY State it's now illegal to change a car's exhaust from factory, for the purpose of making it louder. (I just recently found out about this.)
Quite possibly in other states as well.
And the fine is around $1,000! (And much worse if a shop does it.)
So check first.
------
Of course, you can probably get away with adding the stock JCW exhaust (not the JCW pro) to a non-JCW Mini. (still check ! )
- And that's a pretty decent exhaust, unless you're trying to get north of 300 HP as well.

Just ordered one of these from @ECSTuning. Can't wait to hear hour it sounds. OP, thanks for convincing me. I was going to try the Scorpion exhaust but it's hard to say yes to that when my spec is a BRG over Malt. #GentlemenSpec
