I have a 2016 mini cooper s four for hard top. I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's got 125,000 miles on it. I took it to the dealer recently for an oil change. They let me know that they're pretty sure my 1st O2 sensor is going bad. I do notice rough idling and my mpg has gone down. I want to do it myself but I can't seem to find anything online for the newer models about where they are located. I think I found one before the firewall under the cold air intake arm at the back of the engine. Is that correct?

Any help would be appreciated

they're both on your downpipe behind motor. top one is upstream before cat. O2 sensor, bottom is downstream aft. cat. O2 sensor.not easy to get to.(at least on my '15 F-56) pelicanparts.com

 

Stu-mon, thanks for the reply. You are correct they are very difficult to get to. I tried to do it myself, I'll just have to find someone to do it for me. I wasn't wanting to shell out more money for this car.
