Hello all,

I recently purchased a 2011 countryman which came with the premium package but without navigation. I tried to update the software using the "bin" file I downloaded from Mini Connectivity website after providing the VIN number. But when I connect the USB drive and try to update, it says "Software on USB device incompatible with this vehicle". I reformatted the USB drive with FAT32 and only included the software update file but still did not work.

Has anyone being able to update their software using this method for Countryman R60?

This not work with my VIN. Maybe my R60 is to old, it's 2011 🙄

 

I plugged in my VIN, says "your software is up to date"....but, I get the incompatible warning as well.
Is my phone too new?

 

I checked before posting and it worked for my R60 2014

I installed a media box to get apple play on my mini, was a nightmare to install, but-loving that the car has airplay now.

 

Bump for same issue. Any solutions?

 

I forget where I got it from, but finally got the right one. Note there hasn't been a new version for the R60 for years, and also note this is really for the Bluetooth driver. It doesn't actually update the head unit firmware or maps (though you can update the maps).

I think this is the last one. I had an over the air update on my 2012 Nav car i think it was 2015

In the app: " Phone app update they removed Mission Control, Driving Excitement, MINImalism Analyzer and Web Radio and added things like StreetWise. "
