F54 next mod on a $300 budget
next mod on a $300 budget?
So I have the following:Helix short shifter, Cravenspeed shift ****, K+N Filter, Powerflex lower engine mount bushing, Chassis bones frame stiffener, 3rd brake light pulsar kit
Plan to get the Dinan sport power module next.
What is the next affordable mod to increase performance or enjoyment? I don't really care about the engine sound enough to drop a few thousand dollars on exhaust and a cold air injector.
sway bar would be nice, but at $1000 or so installed it can wait a bit.
Thoughts?

I added a Sprint Booster to my F56 last week. It already has a cold air intake, NM Power Module, and exhaust. The Sprint Booster doesn not increase performance, per se, since it does not add power. It does greatly increase the throttle response and the difference is huge. The car feels like an absolute monster with it on. Highly recommended.

When you say stock, do you mean the tires that came on the vehicle from the dealer or that they have just been replaced with the same run flats?
certified preowned from the dealer.
tires look good. approaching 40,000 miles. purchased at 27,000 miles. believe they were new at that time.
I would get the Dinan Sport Tune first and then maybe the throttle controller second. The default electronic throttle isn't that bad compared to others. You'll appreciate the additional HP gains from the tune more so than your car thinking you're just mashing the throttle harder. If you're going to continue after those, start looking into suspension components (springs, coil overs, sway bars, etc) and then a new wheel/tire combo.
If your tires become shot before you get to anything else, get a nice set of tires. Again, tires are the most overlooked part of performance upgrades when drivers get a new car.
i have an NM Power Module on my car as well. The two are very different. The power modules/tunes legitimately make more power. Between intake, exhaust, and the tune there is a huge increase in power. The Sprint Booster does not add power, but it hugely increases throttle response. As a result, 0-60 times improve by a couple of tenths as well. With the two, the car is a monster!
They are fantastic tires. I had them on the 17” wheels that came with my F56. I swapped the wheels for a set of 18” JCW Cup Spoke wheels that have Pirelli runflats on them. The Pirellis are excellent tires, but when I need new ones, I will very likely get the Firehawk Indy 500s again. There is literally not one bad online review of them.
If you have stock wheels, the floating center caps are a sub $100 mod. Of course there’s no performance increase, just a fun mod. I’ve gotten a couple compliments at stoplights, and spinning them while cleaning the wheels is oddly satisfying.

All of this fun, plus so much more, for the price of Carly or one of the other more advanced coding systems.
Right up there with watching the side mirrors fold when locking the car and unfold when unlocking. Plus opening or closing the sunroof and windows from the fob or door handle lock button. I think this mod makes the car go faster. Oh, and coding the door handle lights to illuminate when I put my Clubby in reverse. That makes the car go faster, backwards.

This is something I have been considering heavily ever since I glued a keyfob cover on my fob backwards so that my back hatch wouldn't randomly open when my keys were in my pocket. With Bimmercode or another app, can I reprogram the hatch button on my keyfob to not be so sensitive and require, for example, three separate button presses to open the hatch?
Try these:

I remember zipping off from a stop light and thinking, "man, the exhaust sure sounds sweet." Then a guy pulled up next to me and gestured toward the back of my Clubman and I realized I had an open door.
Interestingly, it hasn't happened again, though I still keep the fob in the front pocket and usually have on Levis 501s -- yeah, I'm old enough to still think 501s are cool.
I am unaware of aftermarket coding options for the rear doors, but the folks at Carly are very responsive to email quires and the Bimmercode experts on this site know about everything that can be done with that system. Let us know what you learn.
Yes, on Bimmercode you change change the timing on the rear fob. We had the same issue with the barn door being unexpectedly open.
I believe I set mine to 5 seconds. I usually just use the convenience opening. I think the options for the F54 are slightly different that the F56 options shown on the Bimmercode website, but similar enough.
