F54 Re-coding barn doors

Re-coding barn doors
I know I am not the first person to have the barn doors open at the worst moment due to an overly sensitive key fob...fml.
I took it to the dealership so they could address the issue. They were able to code it so that when the doors are locked you can not trigger the barn doors. They key fob is also not as sensitive in terms of how long the button is pressed to activate the doors. It was fixed free of charge and I am happy with the changes. What are other people’s experiences?

This was through Mini Richmond in British Columbia (Canada)...but I don’t see why other dealerships wouldn’t do the same. Those damn doors in their factory state aren’t safe IMO. It should be on them to address this. I had them forward the issue to Mini Canada.

Hah hah, I inadvertently ‘joined’ the Barn Door Club yesterday on the way home from work. I pulled over to check something on my phone. Shifted in my seat, and Pop, my R’R Barn Door Faithfully opened.....
Felt like old times with my 2012 Clubman and how I used to pop its door open ....
I may have to join the Recoding Club on my 2017.....
In this instance, my key made contact with my small pocket knife in my pants pocket just so...

I programmed that one but it doesn't seem to do anything. I also set the button press on the fob to be five seconds and that doesn't seem to do anything either. It's pretty immediate on the button press. I would really like to avoid the dealer if possible because I know they will just undo all the programming I've done.

Thanks for the quick summary! I did read all the previous posts and found nothing. Finally found it in the Service Bulletin pdf, the retired geezer self description pretty much says it all.
