In Need Of Tire Advice

The Michelin Pilot® Sport A/S 3+ on my '07 R56 S started to dry rot over a year ago. The tires are 5 years old and their current mileage is 23,000.
Mileage warranty: 45,000 miles.

I have always loved Michelins, I consider them to be the best handling tires I have ever owned. I've had them on different cars, and even on my bicycles, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should try something else.

What are you guys riding on, nowadays?

I forgot to mention, I need All Season tires.

Bang for the buck it is hard to beat Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. They are re-branded Bridgestone Potenza RE003. In my experience (E36, R56 and R60) on three different platforms in different sizes, they are excellent in the dry as well as the wet and with regular tire rotations, they are long lasting. I've actually done a track weekend with them on my R56 and they held up well.

I live in an area where we don't see a lot of freezing temperatures but we do get a lot of rain, so they work for me year round.

I’ve have Michelin Pilot Sport S4 summers
and X-Ice Xi3 winters on both our cars
(2009 JCW R55 and 2020 M240i ‘vert).
I always try for the best daily drive tires
I can find and have never had better
tires over the last 44 years.

On my second set of Conti extreme contact sport and love them. Great price for a max performance summer tire. Don't know how the PS4S are, but I have read these continentals are a close second in performance. And currently they're $40/tire cheaper, so I'm happy with that trade off. First set lasted about 20k miles for me including a track day and plenty of canyon driving sessions

How many miles are you getting out of your firehawks?

Somewhere in the range of 20-30k over a couple of years. The only ones that I've replaced early had been abused on a track. The set on the R60 have over 20k (mostly highway) and are still looking good.

Nice, I’ve had them on my WRX but my alignment was bad so they only lasted about 10k. I’ll give them a shot on my MCS

I've been running some Yokohama Avid for almost 4 years, lots of miles they're great tires. That said, I just bought some Continental DWS, had the previous version and they were also great. Lightweight, high performance all season.
