Good Deal Gauge Pods

Hello, I'm not sure if I can post this here or what not, I have no correlation with this ebay listing, but I found what seems to be a great deal on a dual gauge pod. I've been doing a lot of research on parts, I've seen VOD pods, Flex Pods, etc etc...all in the $100++ range. I found this dual gauge pod (I don't know the reliability of it yet) for $55, if anyone has experience with this let me know, if not I will update this thread with a review. I truly hope I'm not breaking any rules posting this, main reason why I'm doing this post is because I see it says only 2 left and not sure if it will be back again for listing.

Any opinions?

The surface from being 3D printed isn’t very attractive. I guess you could put some time into finishing it, and it would look decent.

Thanks for posting. I was just looking at those the other day. I have an Alta pod in my R55 with a 52mm Autometer gauge, but I don't like how the gauge sits in the pod.

No problem njaremka! I will be getting mine on the 5-6th of May, I'll take some pictures for you. I do have some plastidip coming as well (I know, I know), just have some pieces I want to turn black, but also be able to remove if I ever want to sell for a newer mini. I'm kinda hooked on these cars right now, a lot of fun, style, and just overall a very comfortable ride. So! If needed, I'll plastidip it to give it a smoother look.

Did you ever end up getting this gauge pod? Pictures? Review?

I did get it but unfortunately a bunch of people called out of work due to this virus, working 6-7 days a week. Seems like every time I get time off its storming, so no good time to paint. I'm hoping Monday I can get to it in the morning. I'll have pictures then.

Wow, it's been in 4 months since I've looked at this and I have a good reason! From working 6 days a week to having the car break down numerous times, I took a break from the forums/projects. Been riding the struggle bus with this car, but can't seem to want to get rid of it....just gotta give her some more TLC.

BUT! I did take photos today for this if people are interested in this dual pod. This is not an install thread, but peoples concerns were having the pod look like a crappy 3d print scruff look, but I took some plasti dip and didn't take much to coat it. Here are some pics (and some with gauges to give an idea, but not set up yet.

Before:

Pictures show a bit more detail than the human eye would normally detect, but you don't even notice it, you mainly just see the gauges and just go from there.
Pros: It does exactly what it says, looks nice, fits perfect.
Cons: I think it comes with a pack of screws, seems I lost them if they did send it, so this con is mainly my fault for not remembering, but mentioning it just incase.
Also it was a bit difficult to get the screws on the cluster to the wheel with the cluster being so bulky now, but doable.

Overall: For the price, I don't think you can beat it, just get some paint and call it a day. Sorry again for the delay, real life stuff hit and I didn't want to be on here going ape about the car. Hope this helps some one out there.

I think it looks good. Even though the finish might be a little rough, it serves it purpose perfectly.
