Help with unconnected connector???

I was cleaning things up and getting ready to replace the oil pressure switch and discovered this connector hanging down...unconnected. It looks to be bundled with another connector that goes to the EHPS just above the steering pump cooling fan. Here are a few pics. Please let me know if anyone can help id this and where it goes.

I had two codes come up that I have attempted to fix, but have not been able to verify yet. p0420 (replaced the down flow o2 censor) and p1477 (had a broken fuel tank vent valve).

Thank you in advance. Im new to the forums and community and find it super helpful as I begin to take on more of the care for my MINI.

Long shot but it could be off of one of the side marker lights , like one built into the fender arch ...

Power steering pump cooling fan under the car? Oil pressure switch? Steering angle sensor?

It is NOT for the O2 sensor

Turn on the a/c and confirm the little PS fan kicks on then you are ok.

ECS,

I have a new fan on order right now (from you guys). The old one had been a bit damaged in a "small" fire. It was warped and the blades did not really clear the sides of the fan too well...lots of rubbing and snags.

The fire I spoke of resulted in needing a new wiring harness. Bottom line is I do not have AC, which I am fine with, except for now when that is how I would check if the power steering cooling fan is working...any other ways to check and see if this fan kicks on? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the order.
A/C kicking on or when you get the engine warm and let idle. If you start you MINI and let it idle on a warm day you will hear the stage 1 or stage 2 fan kick on and then the little pump fan should kick on. Might take a while on a cold day to get it to do it.

You will hear it and just look under the car while parks and look at the little fan.
